Make it 19 straight weeks for Steve O’Dwyer on the top of the entire Global Poker Index rankings, although sitting right behind him in second position is the hard-charging Anthony Zinno who looks to regain the highest spot he occupied briefly for 2 weeks back in July 2015.

Zinno came with reference to earning an implausible fourth World Poker Tour title on the WPT Amsterdam Main Event in Holland this week, finishing third within the event eventually won by Andjelko Andrejevic. That helped Zinno move up from No. 4 to No. 2 within the rankings, putting him only one more decent cash clear of taking the lead from O’Dwyer.

The remainder of the highest 10 saw little movement during an otherwise quiet week at the tournament trail, with only a few trading positions amid small shuffling. Indeed, the highest 50 remained in relative stasis for the week, exceptions being former Number one. Ole Schemion’s move from No. 49 to No. 39 following his strong European Poker Tour Grand Final (including a win within the €100,000 Super High Roller), and Andrejevic stepping up from No. 52 to No. 42, a brand new GPI peak for the Floridian.
