Pennsylvania Poker Rooms Rake $5 Million In JulyNO Deposit bonus $43

Poker rooms in Pennsylvania casinos collectively raked $4.96 million from players in the course of the month of July, in line with figures released by state casino gambling regulators.

There have been 226 poker tables across 10 poker rooms statewide. Pennsylvania has a dozen brick-and-mortar casinos.

The $4.96 million was basically unchanged from the $4.97 million raked in July 2015. There were two more poker tables this July in comparison to the similar month last year.

On the $4.96 million in rake, the casinos collectively paid nearly $600,000 in state taxes.

Parx Casino, which sits just outside Philly in Bensalem, led the best way in July 2016 with $1.37 million in poker revenue. That casino had 46 poker tables in July.

The poker market in Pennsylvania is growing, because the casinos recently reported $58.4 million in poker revenue within the 2015/16 fiscal year ending in June. That was up slightly from the $56.5 million in poker rake collected in FY 2014/15.

Though it has a significantly larger overall casino gambling market, Pennsylvania and New Jersey were nearly identical in July in relation to poker revenue. Atlantic City casinos also raked $5 million, but included in that figure was $2 million from state-licensed online poker sites. Like New Jersey, Maryland’s live poker market was roughly $3 million in July.

Pennsylvania is closing in on legalizing online poker this fall.
